Fly safe!
Yep, I got sucked back into EVE Online recently. (I blame the guys from The Drone Bay and Turpster.) EVE has just always fascinated me as a game, despite the fact that after monkeying around with it off and on for about a couple of years now, I still suck tremendously at it. One of these days I will hopefully figure out how to actually play the game as opposed to play “amass the BPOs” and “mine like crazy” which I’ve been doing pretty much since I started. (I can’t help it; I’m a tradeskill freak in just about any MMO I play.) I keep wanting to join a Corp, but with work yanking me in and out of MMOs faster than Paris Hilton changes clothes, I’m not sure who’d want an extremely casual carebear who likes to build stuff in their Corp. (That said, if you do happen to have a spot for an extremely casual EVE carebear who likes to build stuff and doesn’t mind mining, feel free to contact me. Please no OMG ITZ A GRRRL invites.
You can catch me in EVE as Khenet.)
For now I’ll just have to read up on all the goodies over on Crazy Kinux’s most awesome EVE blog and do the best I can with the time I have to play. (I love that you can play it in a window while working. woo!)
In other news, I’m set for not only Dragon*Con this year, but E3. Should be awesome — and hey, another chance to put my little Eee through the paces. (Of course, knowing me, I’ll take my VAIO for backup since I have multiple spare batteries for it.) I haven’t been able to go to E3 before, so I’m really looking forward to it. It also most likely means Rock Band playing with the rest of the Joystiq network team. I’d better get to practicing or I’m going to so get laughed at — well, unless they need a singer. ![]()

If you’re going to be at E3, let me know! I may go for one day, but even if I don’t, that’s in my part of the world, and I’d love to have lunch or otherwise say hello for a moment!

At this point, barring major catastrophe, E3 is a definite for me. It would rock the house in to get a chance to catch up with you, but to be honest, lunch isn’t terribly likely. I’ll be there for work, so I’ve got to be ready to go back to back to back all day blogging and won’t have the vaguest idea what my schedule’s going to look like until the team gets on the ground and things are assigned to everyone.
That said, I’d still love to see if we can’t catch up at some point, even if it’s just for late-night coffee or something.
