This tuna has been declared podsafe

Well, okay, I’m more thinking about tunes than tuna, but still… Just got my podcasting setup today. I suspect I’ll be spending a few days face-down in the manual so I have an idea what all of these mixer board knobs and buttons do. I’m looking into pod-safe music, because I certainly don’t have several thousand dollars to spend on ASCAP/BMI/etc. licensing to use copyrighted music. Either that, or I’m going to have to get creative with ACID music studio and make my own downtempo tracks to use as bed music.

I figure I’ll do an “audio blog” to test the format, get used to controls, etc. and see how that goes from there. Of course, this is assuming that anyone happens to think that what I have to say is in any way interesting. (At least in regards to my personal writings; my work writing gets enough attention for now, but I’m always looking for ways to improve it.)

Beyond that, had to drop a class today due to time constraints. I simply had taken too much on this term, and wouldn’t have been able to devote the time to it that I felt that the class needed. Not something I wanted to do, but between working/family/etc. it was becoming a situation where I had very much work and very little sleep, and my overall grades were beginning to suffer. Not an acceptable solution. I figure I’ll pick this course up during the summer as I now know the sheer volume of work involved in it, as taking it over the summer will enable me to focus on it as the only course.

For now, much work to do. Need to get to the library to get some source material for a paper.
